Our Mission
Trauma Support Services exists to provide healing and resilience for individuals and communities affected by
trauma through accessible mental health therapy
and trauma-informed education.
Trauma Care Institute (TCI) is a program of Trauma Support Services that provides high-quality trauma training throughout the state of Texas.
The goal of TCI is to equip diverse communities with effective trauma therapy services through exceptional education.
Trauma Care Institute offers:
- State of the art trainings in the effective treatment of trauma: EMDR, TFT, Ethics, Diversity, Crisis Response & Management, and more
- Free trainings provided statewide via live webinars and our on-demand learning platform, as well as in-person trainings
- Requested trainings for organizations to further our mission of a trauma-informed community
- An annual Trauma-Informed Care Certificate program for therapists
Advocate.
We serve survivors and witnesses of traumatic events:
Homicide | Family Violence |Sexual Assault
Child Abuse | Robbery | Other Crimes
Trauma Support Services helps clients with process and applications for Crime Victims' Compensation.
Our Family Advocate at a local Medical Examiner's Office is provided to support loved ones by:
- Inform of the location of the loved one
(i.e. ME’s Office, funeral home or other)
- Explain procedures of the ME’s office
- Provide information about crime scene clean-up
- Refer to specialized therapy, services or other support agencies
- Guide to appropriate law enforcement contacts
We connect crime victims to a licensed therapist who will help determine the best therapeutic services and community resources for each client.

Trauma Support Services' therapists are experienced in trauma therapy and have ongoing education opportunities through the Trauma Care Institute.
Therapists are located throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as well as via secure HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions to ensure clients easily can access the care they need.
Trauma Support Services serves trauma survivors and those who witness traumatic events due to a crime.
Therapy services are provided at NO COST
for those without insurance who qualify.
