About Us
Trauma Support Services of North Texas (TSS) was established in 2007 to provide professional trauma therapy to survivors who did not have the ability to pay.
Since 2007, we have provided professional trauma-informed therapy to victims of crime and other traumatized children and adults. Types of trauma that TSSNT clients have experienced include homicide, assault, mass violence, robbery, abuse, car crashes, human trafficking, and identity theft.
Through our Direct Services program, our therapists have provided over 44,375 hours of trauma-informed therapy. We serve approximately 975 clients a year on average. This can be through therapy services, case management services, or crisis intervention. All free of charge.
Without access to mental health services, experiencing trauma can lend itself to a myriad of outcomes associated with a high level of social, occupational and physical disabilities, including suicide. TSSNT meets this need by providing free trauma-informed therapy to those who are not able to otherwise afford it.
Through Trauma Care Institute (TCI) we continue to educate the community about mental health needs by providing state-of-the-art trauma-informed trainings to professionals to better serve the community.
We remain committed to our mission of educating the community through trauma-informed training, advocating for those who have experienced trauma and healing through compassionate care.
