Date: August 26th, 2026

Time: 8:30am-3:00pm CDT (includes break for lunch)

Location: Online Via Zoom

This 6 hour training is designed to meet the CEU requirements for LCSW Supervisors.

*Note: This is not a training for becoming an LCSW Supervisor. It is intended as an Update for those currently operating under an LCSW-S license.

Description:

Framework for this clinical social work supervisor training includes recently updated statues and rules provided by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council Consolidated Rulebook. Best Practice Standards in Social Work Supervision developed by NASW and ASWB along with the NASW Code of Ethics will be incorporated throughout. Interactive breakout cases study allows participants to apply the developmental stages theory model to recognize and discuss how to operationalize best practices at various stages of the supervision timeline.

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain an understanding of the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners rules related to clinical supervision and specifically where to locate and incorporate recent revisions.

  • Translate clinical intervention skills into supervision strengths through exploring best practices of social work supervision sessions using the developmental theory model to progress from beginning, middle, to end stages.

  • Participants will operationalize best practices by participating in small group breakouts with case examples that will allow them to apply gained knowledge and skills to their supervision practice.
