Working with adolescents may be a personal choice. While there are providers who do not want to work with adolescents for a variety of reasons, other providers greatly enjoy working with this age group. This presentation will examine adolescent mental health in 2024, and the focus will be on working with adolescents who have experienced trauma. Discussion will focus on how trauma impacts adolescents, highlighting both positive aspects and challenges. In this presentation, we will explore different therapeutic approaches when working with adolescents, and attendees will gain new ideas to engage with adolescents.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review tasks of adolescent development.
  • Reflect on clinician’s biases towards adolescents.
  • Examine the current stressors of adolescents in 2024.
  • Identify common challenges when working with adolescents.
  • Learn possible interventions to increase engagement with adolescents.

If you register for this training, you must attend for the entire training.

*Partial CEs will not be provided.*

Leaving the training early will count as a No Show.

In the event of an emergency that causes you to be late or miss the training, email training@tssnt.org.
