About Our Speaker:

Heather Hutchison, LMFT, DARCC Clinical Director, brings expertise and genuine passion to her work supporting survivors of interpersonal trauma and their support systems. Heather's professional journey began with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chapman University in 2015. Advancing her education, she earned a master’s in counseling from California State University, Long Beach in 2017. Initiating her clinical work at the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center (LBTRC) from 2017 to 2020, Heather provided compassionate care to a diverse range of survivors of trauma and crime. In 2020, Heather made a significant move to Dallas, Texas, where she continued her dedicated service to survivors, focusing specifically on anti-sexual violence work as a counselor at Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC). Heather currently serves as the Clinical Director at DARCC. Simultaneously, she contributes to academia as a part-time lecturer for the graduate counseling psychology program at her alma mater, California State University, Long Beach. Heather's professional journey underscores her unwavering commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors. Through direct clinical support and by shaping the next generation of mental health professionals, she is driven by a genuine passion for promoting healing and resilience in the face of adversity.

Blair Croce, LCSW, DARCC Assistant Clinical Director, is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in the anti-violence movement. Beginning her career in the heart of New York City in 2017, Blair passionately served survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, demonstrating her commitment to providing compassionate support and advocacy. Driven by a desire to deepen her understanding of trauma and healing, Blair pursued her education in psychology and social work at New York University, where she honed her skills and knowledge. During her graduate studies, Blair embarked on a transformative journey, focusing her efforts on supporting survivors of human trafficking. In her next role at the Coalition To Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) in California, Blair played a pivotal role in operating the first transitional home in the United States dedicated to human trafficking survivors. Here, she not only provided essential clinical support but also addressed the advocacy needs of the survivors. Blair has recently returned to her roots in the anti-sexual violence movement, joining the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center as their Assistant Clinical Director. Here, she brings her dedication and skill set to support survivors of sexual assault, striving to create a safe and nurturing environment for healing and growth.
