Advocating for Our Clients...TSSNT Welcomes Christina Richardson to Our Team

We are excited to welcome Christina Richardson as our Client/Victim Advocate and Case Manager. Christina joined Trauma Support Services of North Texas in May and has jumped in quickly advocating for our clients, providing resources and referrals and sharing TSSNT with the community.

Christina is a dedicated nonprofit professional who joins TSSNT with over 14 years of experience in nonprofit management, volunteer development, program delivery and community engagement. Over the past 13 years she has been afforded many opportunities to work with different nonprofit agencies through the state of Texas. As an ExxonMobil Intern she advocated for AIDS and HIV patients. Through her role at Susan G. Komen she honed her data management skills and worked in Houston walking, working and supporting women who are battling and survived cancer. She has volunteered on a suicide hotline for a local non-profit in Dallas and during her time in grad school she was afforded the opportunity to advocate for and counsel women and teenagers in a domestic violence shelter in Ft. Worth as well as facilitate a self-esteem group for middle school girls at a Dallas middle school.

As a native Texan, she received her BA in Psychology with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Arlington and a MS in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas at Dallas where she is also working towards a BS in Human Services Management and Leadership with a minor in Dispute Resolution and Mediation. Christina knew early on she wanted to be a counselor and later added victim advocacy to that calling. Although life would throw her lemons, she would take the time she needed to make sure that in her free time she was still pursuing her goal towards a career in counseling. Christina is dedicated to helping people live their best life regardless of their circumstances and the lemons that life has handed to them. Christina shared she is both excited and honored about being selected to serve as a Client/Victim Advocate and Case Manager. She is eager to learn more about the clients we serve and how we can make an impact in this community through our various programs, initiatives and outreach.
